Roland Dietz founded The Performance Edge Coaches with a vision to invite and challenge leaders and their teams to reach their full potential. His goal is to help them deliver remarkable results and earn deep commitment from key stakeholders. Our team developed an extremely effective proprietary methodology, based on proven programs over many deployments in different industry sectors, to have best in class Time-to-Impact for our clients.


Roland is a globally recognized CEO, board director, and performance architect with a track record of leading and transforming complex, high-stakes organizations across the knowledge, technology, and information sectors. With over three decades of experience, he has successfully steered seven major business transformations, architected multi-million dollar global negotiations with governments from Japan to Brazil, and consistently driven exceptional value creation across public, private, and PE-backed companies.


Mr. Dietz is not just a strategist; he is a builder. At Elsevier, he led the $750M transition from print to digital in scientific publishing, setting a new benchmark for customer-centric, high-margin growth. At LawLogix, he engineered a successful PE buyout and accelerated post-acquisition growth by double digits. As a board member, he has guided organizations through innovation cycles, digital pivots, and international expansion with a steady hand and a growth mindset.


What sets Roland apart is his integrated approach to impact oriented leadership development—a practice rooted in performance, action, and real-world impact, not theory. Drawing on his elite-level background in physical performance coaching (Pilates, Gyrotonic®, Martial Arts), Roland brings a unique embodied perspective to leadership: clarity in movement, intent in action, and resilience under pressure.


He helps leaders move beyond skills training into transformational application—enabling them to lead decisively, align stakeholders, and perform under ambiguity. His coaching philosophy is direct, evidence-informed, and built for those navigating complexity, growth, or reinvention.


Roland doesn’t just coach executives—he builds elite teams that break through their performance ceiling and operate at a completely new level of capability. His approach to Impact-Oriented leadership development fuses operational precision, deep stakeholder alignment, and high-performance team architecture. Leaders and teams he works with consistently move from intention to action to meaningful, measurable impact.


Roland holds an M.Sc. in Artificial Intelligence from Delft University of Technology, has lived and led businesses across five continents, and is fluent in five languages. He is a dual citizen of the U.S. and the Netherlands and lives in Scottsdale, Arizona.
